Work Package 5 - Capacity building

The overall objective of WP5 was to prepare and initiate a capacity building programme for AgroEcoLLNet. This capacity building programme supported the further development of, and exchange between existing and new LLs and RIs in the area of agroecology across Europe. Rolling out the capacity building programme supported the transition of European agri-food systems to agroecology by promoting agroecology and LL approaches in RI’s and supporting the implementation of principles of LLs within the initiatives in AgroEcoLLNet. The capacity building programme was tailored to the needs of the key end users. The key end users defined within WP2 where the existing initiatives of LL and RI in the domain of agroecology were mapped. In addition, the capacity building programme supported the development of AgroEcoLLNet in line with the vision document developed in WP1. The capacity building programme was prototyped and validated within the pilot network (WP3) via an iterative LL methodology approach and scaled up through local and international training sprints. The validated outcomes defined the final materials included in online learning materials and recorded webinars.
